About this listen

A remarkable adventure story from the wild imagination of Jules Verne!

In October 1872, the fastidious Phileas Fogg—a British gentleman who rarely ventures outside the comforts of home or his beloved club—bets his compatriots that he can travel around the entire world in just eighty days. With his newly hired valet, Passepartout, as his traveling companion, Fogg embarks on a wild journey, traversing the continents. He is determined not to lose the bet, no matter what obstacles arise—and they do arise—in this classic tale of adventure and romance!

I got this book because I needed to use a credit. I was hesitant and not too intrigued. However I LOVED the book! it is so fun and engaging. I was hooked every word. Great narration. And the best ending ever.

Hesitations at first but AMAZING book

One of the greatest books ever, however some portions were edited. It's still worth reading and rereading many times. It never gets old.

An amazing story!

The story held my interest as much because of the character development as the plot. I continued to learn and grow more curious about each character as the story unfolded. I loved how I could not predict outcomes, or the manner in which they were accomplished.
Arte Johnson’s narration (indeed, dramatization) was excellent, making each character distinct and recognizable. Overall, a very nice experience accomplished in a single day.
