Publisher's summary

If you are reading this, then it is safe to assume you are interested in wine making at home. Wine making is a fun activity that is not only affordable to get into but could also be profitable if you just put in your best effort into the process.

I started making wine about 14 years back, but it wasn’t necessarily something that I expected I would be doing for a while. I started making my wine out of curiosity.

There are just far too many wines out there that are anything but appealing. Some are far too bitter, and others just feel watery or syrupy. Others just have terrible odors that only make them worse.

The frustration I have had with wines over the years got me thinking - what if I tried to make wine myself? Surely I could do somewhat better than all those other people who make wine if I just put in a good amount of effort into the process.

It was a crazy idea, but I figured that every smart idea in the world starts out of something crazy, right?

I also figured it would be fun to see just what types of wine I could produce. I have seen so many brands pop up selling wines of all sorts. I assume they all run their vineyards with separate sections for red and white wine. But what could I do to produce something distinctive and unique?

I did extensive research and found out that there is not much information out there on how to make it all blend just right, so I set out to do test various methods and recipes, I would tweak this and tweak that, and in about a year’s time, I finally realized, I have perfected the process.

Eventually, I started making even more wine. Today I have my small operation where I sell wines to local businesses and restaurants in my area. I had to go through a few legal points to make it work while getting the word out about your efforts too, but it was worthwhile in the end.

Most books out there will show you the process, the ingredients you need, and how it all works, but none of them show you how to make it just right. If you learn how to make a cheap $5 bottle of wine, you might as well just buy that and not spend your valuable time and effort, but what if you knew how to make that $100 bottle of wine, wouldn’t that be worth spending your time and energy on? Something you can share and enjoy with your friends and family?

In this book, I show you just how to make it all perfect and how to eventually sell your wine and make some extra income.

This book is divided into two parts, in the first part, I show you how to make wine at home, the whole process. Next, in the second part, I discuss how to start selling your wine and start a small business.

You will learn:

In part one:

  • What you need to start making wine

Easy read and informative especially if a novice

As a novice wine maker, this book gives the basics both in how to make wine and how to sell wine. Good references and tips on where to get services, more info etc.

Grapes, grapes , grapes and business

Should have been called grapes and business. I liked when he wrote, lay the wine bottles on their side to keep the wine moist. Wine is all ready moist. You lay them on their side to keep the cork moist. Some lines were repeated twice. Very little info on how to make wine.
