About this listen

Prepare for the magical adventure of your dreams, in the first in a brand-new series by L.D. Lapinski, author of Strangeworlds Travel Agency.

In Edward Crane's world, magic has been dwindling for the past five hundred years. So even though he's part of a powerful magical family, Ed is worried that he won't have any magic in him at all. He's adopted, for one thing. He also has a perfect twin sister, Elodie, who seems to always get the better end of the deal and will no doubt be the one to get a powerful power like their dads.

So when Ed discovers he does have an artisan power after all, he's relieved. In fact, it's more than he could have ever dreamed of.

But the problem with dreams is that sometimes they turn into nightmares. And with Ed's ability growing by the day, there's a chance that this nightmare will become all too real...

excellent story, good delivery

An excellent story- filled with the classic tropes of children coming into their power (literally and figuratively), this time with their parents present and supportive.
There was depth, color, and values- I will definitely be purchasing this book for my son.
As for the delivery- took me some time to connect with.
It felt dry at first, and occasionally I found my mind drifting and having to replay.
I came to appreciate the reading as time went on, I'm glad that I gave it a proper chance!
