About this listen

The chief astrologer of Tibet had been summoned to proclaim the horoscope of six-year-old Lobsang, son of Lord and Lady Rampa. It was the most difficult reading, the "Hardest life he had ever encountered", the old man said.

The boy was going to learn all the medical arts of Tibet and then journey to China to study medicine in the Western style. He would know immense suffering and dreadful hardship, travel in many countries, and be unjustly imprisoned.

But above all, the boy's lonely destiny would be to carry out a great task of utmost importance to all humanity - and evil forces would work against him to thwart his efforts.

As it Was! is a fascinating account of the life and achievements of a remarkable man. It will bring solace and inspiration to the countless followers of Lobsang Rampa - the monk who brought Buddhism to the West - in every part of the world.

I was amazed at this first book, so much so I was ready to sign onto Lobsang’s whole treasure trove of 19 books only to read in this book that the media slanders him and that while he is truest the soul of a Tibetan monk he is in the body of a suicidal white plumber. I gave up at that part and looked online about TLR and the reviews are in, -LIAR-!!! Complete waste of time and money

Oh this monk is a white man and plumber
