"Ashes to Ashes," the latest electrifying chapter in the Mike McHaskell Novel Series, transports readers to the glamorous yet shadowy heart of Milan, revealing the mythic family lineages of Mike and Christina entangled in a perilous dance with destiny.

As echoes of the past loom large, threatening to unravel their present, they find themselves in the crosshairs of age-old vendettas and the clandestine world of espionage.

In this powerful installment, Mike faces an adversary continuing a centuries-long family feud. At the same time, Christina discovers a startling link to an ancient dynasty and its enduring legacy. Amidst the glittering backdrop of Italy, their love is put to the ultimate test, challenged by secrets that stretch back generations and a dangerous game of cat and mouse with General Wu of the Chinese Ministry of State Security, who seeks to destroy everything they hold dear.

Surrounded by friends and family, whose loyalties and secrets weave a complex tapestry of intrigue and deception, Mike must navigate a labyrinth of danger and betrayal. An enigmatic ally emerges, blurring the lines between friend and foe, as they confront questions that strike at the heart of their bonds: Can love truly conquer the ghosts of a past written in betrayal and blood? Who, among those they hold close, can they truly trust?

"Ashes to Ashes" is a thrilling ride through a world where bonds are tested, and the strength of love is the only beacon of hope. Join Mike as he embarks on a journey of resilience, bearing the scars incurred in the name of duty, and discover the indomitable power of redemption. LOVED THE ONE ON ONE!

I'm so happy that Marshall decided to concentrate on 1 of the characters from his series. It great to now know the background of a main character. I hope he continues to do so in more novellas about the people that we have begun to "know" or not.....

As for the "story," this one did not disappoint. I read this series for the intrigue and action. "Ashes" was just what I was hoping it was.

Can't wait for Book #5.

Good job, Marshall!!
