About this listen
Everyone in the newsroom knows that somebody is monitoring their emails, but Beth and Jennifer don't believe anyone would read their never-ending conversations. But Lincoln does, it's his job, and Beth and Jennifer's hilarious, no-holds-barred emails are the best part of his day.
The only problem is he's starting to fall in love with Beth and yet she doesn't even know he exists. With ex-boyfriends, office politics and family drama, there never seems to be a good time for Lincoln to introduce himself. But to get the life you want sometimes you need to put yourself out there....

Critic reviews
"Heartwarming, romantic and great fun." (Closer)
Her characters are real; they feel like people I've met. And her characters grow up; you fall in love with them and their humanness. I am guaranteed to finish her books with the warm fuzzies. Bonus points for late 90s nostalgia.
The narrator was also great, I prefer when I am not constantly aware of the narrator. She just slightly deepens her voice for different characters and does not distract from the story.
I've read the written format a few times so I know that Rowell plays with words that won't come across in an audible form so I would highly recommend reading it, too.
Perfect
