This book was a great help in understanding others. The term' avoidant attachment' was applied accurately, and it referred to a method and approach for dealing with others. It is also beneficial to have knowledge, information, solutions, and countermeasures to apply in interpersonal relationships that we encounter every day, not necessarily in romantic relationships but also at home, at work, and in society. By understanding each other, acknowledging the other person's vulnerabilities, preconceptions, and fears, and embracing them, we can develop our relationships more maturely and sincerely. By learning to respect and express ourselves honestly, we will see ourselves in relationships better than we do today. I recommend everyone to read it together. This book does a good job at defining avoidant attachment. Some people may not fully be aware that this is what they are actually struggling with so it was nice this book spent time defining and describing what it actually is. Once you’ve figured out that this is in fact your problem the book then gives plenty of material to help mitigate the challenges that come along with avoidant attachment style, especially in relationships. I liked the parts focusing on mindfulness and emotional regulation, that was very helpful information that I will use moving forward in life.

This was a really great book. I liked how clearly this book explained avoidant attachment. I didn’t fully realize this might be something I was struggling with until I started listening.
