  • These are the driest conditions our area has seen in nearly 120 years. Gov. Phil Murphy has now declared a drought warning for the entire state of New Jersey. This gives the state more control of public water supplies, and he's asking people to voluntarily conserve. Take shorter showers, turn the faucet off while you're brushing your teeth, and wait until the dishwasher is full to run it. Murphy stopped short of issuing a drought emergency, which would require mandatory water usage restrictions.
