About this listen

The tumultuous decade of the 1960s began with promise and hope, when John F. Kennedy became the youngest elected President of the United States. Kennedy promised youthful, energetic leadership, as the country headed into the latter half of the 20th century, and christened his presidencey as the "New Frontier." After a thousand days, an assassin's bullets shattered the dreams of an idealisitic generation. Following JFK's assassination, an intense personal and poltical feud between the new President, Lyndon B. Johnson, and deceased former President's younger brother, Robert F. Kennedy, dominated much of the tumultuous decade of the 1960s. Against the backdrop of assassinations, civil rights protests, the Cold War, the Space Race, and the Vietnam War, the epic duel between LBJ and RFK signficantly influenced the course of history. While I’m not entirely convinced that some of the facts given are true, I found this book interesting and informative. However, the mispronunciation of names was a huge distraction.

Fascinating

Secret Service could have made a difference if they cared enough and were allowed to do their job.

Thorough and sad

just learning history I didn't know..very interesting and informative. Virtual voice was realistic BUT as always has issues and still needs to be proof read and edited for correct pronunciation. hearing a simple word pronounced wrong frequently can be annoying

great book

Good story and kept me interested. But sadly AI voice is awful. Just awful.

AI voice SUCKS

The whole "virtual voice" thing isn't the best to listen to, but it REALLY showcases a badly written book with nonexistent proofreading. Ugh.

Skip it.

Mispronouncement of names is taken to levels never witnessed before. The only thing worse than the narration is the editor who approved this for sale. A dismal hatchet job to what could have been a great and interesting story. If I was the author I'd sue Audiobooks for even trying to pawn this on any person with an IQ over 20. Is it possible to give less than 1 star????

Narration is absolutely pathetic
