About this listen
In the heart of a sprawling garden, amidst the vibrant colours of nature, lived a beagle like no other—Bartok. With floppy ears that danced in the breeze and a tail that wagged with unbridled excitement, Bartok was a beacon of charm and curiosity.
His days were thrilling journeys, filled with excitement and wonder, as he explored every nook and cranny of his lush surroundings, his nose leading the way through each adventure. But Bartok's curiosity didn't stop at the blooms and butterflies; he was also a keen observer of the ever-changing weather, always ready for a new discovery.
Join Bartok as he embarks on a journey of discovery, not just for fun, but to learn about the wonders of the natural world. He's on a mission to become the ultimate weather watcher, and he's inviting your child to learn with him.
Note:
The Bartok the Beagle stories are designed to engage children aged 4 to 8. This age range is a guideline. The stories feature more complex words and ideas, which can be a fun way for older children to expand their vocabulary while enjoying Bartok's adventures.

It’s been a week without power. No phones. No computers. Nothing. Whatever shred of humanity is left in people is slowly dwindling away. Gangs are forming, people are starving, and the whole country is in a free-for-all. Accompanied by his neighbor, Nelson, Mike leaves Pittsburgh and heads to his family’s cabin in Ohio. For Mike, the only thing worse than not making it to the cabin is the fear of his family not being there when he does.

Story
The kingdom of Cornucopia was once the happiest in the world. It had plenty of gold, a king with the finest moustache you could possibly imagine, and butchers, bakers, and cheesemongers whose exquisite foods made a person dance with delight when they ate them. Everything was perfect - except for the misty Marshlands to the north, which, according to legend, were home to the monstrous Ickabog. Anyone sensible knew that the Ickabog was just a myth to scare children into behaving. But the funny thing about myths is that sometimes they take on a life of their own.

A delight!
Bartok the beagle is a happy, loving beagle with boundless energy who, with his precious owners, loves to explore his surroundings. As he sniffs and listens, his friends join him on his journey of discovery, and he teaches us valuable lessons of life. Tommy the Tortoise gives him some wise advice and rules to live by, while Tommy's cousin, Theodore, reminds him that happiness isn't always found at the end of the rainbow; sometimes it's found right where you are. And Bartok shows Binky the Bunny that on a rainy day, there's a soothing rhythm of a gentle rain. He is a most eloquent beagle and I found myself listening carefully and waiting for him to teach me about something profound in nature. Robert Woody does a wonderful job with the narration. His soothing, well-modulated voice is perfect for the characters and the charming story.

Entertaining and Informative
This book is very entertaining and informative book that teaches kids about weather. My son was absolutely engrossed with the story and the little beagle Bartok. I highly recommend this book to children. The story is just the right length and speaks to children but not at them. I received this book for free upon my request. I am voluntarily leaving this honest and unbiased review here of my own volition.
