The kingdom of Cornucopia was once the happiest in the world. It had plenty of gold, a king with the finest moustache you could possibly imagine, and butchers, bakers, and cheesemongers whose exquisite foods made a person dance with delight when they ate them. Everything was perfect - except for the misty Marshlands to the north, which, according to legend, were home to the monstrous Ickabog. A delight!
Bartok the beagle is a happy, loving beagle with boundless energy who, with his precious owners, loves to explore his surroundings. As he sniffs and listens, his friends join him on his journey of discovery, and he teaches us valuable lessons of life. Tommy the Tortoise gives him some wise advice and rules to live by, while Tommy's cousin, Theodore, reminds him that happiness isn't always found at the end of the rainbow; sometimes it's found right where you are. And Bartok shows Binky the Bunny that on a rainy day, there's a soothing rhythm of a gentle rain. He is a most eloquent beagle and I found myself listening carefully and waiting for him to teach me about something profound in nature. Robert Woody does a wonderful job with the narration. His soothing, well-modulated voice is perfect for the characters and the charming story.

Entertaining and Informative
This book is very entertaining and informative book that teaches kids about weather. My son was absolutely engrossed with the story and the little beagle Bartok. I highly recommend this book to children. The story is just the right length and speaks to children but not at them. I received this book for free upon my request. I am voluntarily leaving this honest and unbiased review here of my own volition.
