About this listen

Peter Jericho has spent most of his adult life living for God and serving his country as a Marine. Just before getting the orders for his third assignment in Iraq, his once solid marriage suddenly takes a turn for the worse, prompting his wife, Jan, and their 12-year-old daughter, Kyla, to leave their family home on the Marine base and permanently relocate to Atlanta to live with Jan’s mother in an infamous community called Shelton Heights.

As his tour of duty nears an end, he decides that it is the perfect time to say goodbye to military life and focus on reclaiming the family he loves so dearly. Then disaster strikes, and his plans are abruptly interrupted when Peter finds himself a prisoner of war...

Wonderful!

This was a wonderful and heartfelt story. It was a Christian piece and so refreshing, given that it was a love story without all the graphic scenes like so many others. It shared just the right amount of detail to feel the love between the couple and the love of God. It was a powerful story about trusting God and forgiving others when wronged.
I highly recommend!

Absolutely loved the story and the narration. I laughed, cried and cheered. The narrator brought the characters to life so vividly. She was amazing!

American Hero

I enjoyed this book. I laughed, I prayed, I was scared. The writer covered the full range of emotions with the characters. My early suspicions were spot on, and I disliked the heroine bring so gullible, and definitely disliked one character misrepresentation of God’s Word -who could even imagine such ridiculousness? The author research assistant prob forgot to tell the author that most Marines do not call themselves soldiers (at least not the ones that I’ve met)

Battle of Jericho

I enjoyed this story that mama was a trip. I laughed at her the whole time. The interpretation of them scriptures had me screaming. I had to go and make sure what it said. That best friend was a trip. I wasn’t to fond of her. I should have known something was up when in the beginning she told Jan you took my man girl.
