Publisher's summary

A personal message written in human blood is left for crime reporter Molly Wilson at the murder scene of her boyfriend, San Francisco Homicide Inspector Cliff Hooper. The horrific death of a revered cop shocks the San Francisco Police Department's Homicide Detail. Shaken to the core, his grieving fellow detectives go flat out to find his killer under the glare of the city's news media.

Be Mine is a study in psychological suspense that takes the listener on an unrelenting, nail-biting journey into the darkest regions of a tormented human heart.

What’s up with annoying female characters?

Molly is irritating and it begs the question why so many men were interested or obsesssd. She seemed intellectually weak.

Too much cussing

Great, and I would love these stories so much more if it wasn't for the cuss words. I can handle hearing my God's name taken in vain, so I won't be listening to another.

Mofina Always Delivers

Rick Mofina is one of a few you can count on for a good book. The stories are good and the performance is very good.

Great murder mystery

The story is great, and the murder is interesting. What I found annoying was that in each book, Tom Reed is threatened by a supervisor of getting fired. Once or twice can make sense, but five times is too much. The repetition is more annoying than interesting, and it detracts from the story.

Great story and best narrator

I'm new to this audiobooks thing and I'm picky. Firstly, the narrator has the most clear and easy to hear voice, pronunciation accent. I have no trouble trying to understand him. Rick mofina has done an exceptional job at making stories that keep you hooked. There's books and then there's audiobooks.... The execution for listeners is perfect!!! Highly recommend!!! Especially for new comers

Wow

Sooooo..... good... the narrator was one of the best voice actors up here.. he brought the story to life, every person just about had a different voice. The storyline was really creative and everything made sense.

Final book in the series

Well, this is the last book in the series. I wish more time had been spent on character back story and development, so the reader could relate better to the characters. This story had a cop killer who was obsessed with a reporter. You think you know who the killer is but you may be surprised. Decent action and investigation. The ending was interesting. Overall not a bad series to listen to.

Good Mystery

I guessed the ending so early but the way the book is written I second guessed the ending and was actually surprised in the end! The reading definitely makes the book.

A Rare Treat for Thriller Fans and Crime Junkies

I just finished the last of the Tom Reed series after a marathon listening spree. I couldn't stop listening. My meal schedule was off, I started listening the minute I woke in the morning, something I've never done. The fast paced stories were electrifying. I was saddened by the fact that "Be Mine" was the final book in the series. It turned out to be the best. The characters in the five-book series are well developed. Some are likable, some are infuriating, but they work. Crime writer Tom Reed works for a San Francisco newspaper and can't keep his nose out of cases. At times he interferes with cases he's covering. Sometimes the cases become personal. The fast pace makes it difficult to pause the narrative for meals or other demands of life. I look forward to exploring Rick Mofina's other four series. His stories are fast paced, captivating, and brilliantly crafted. A rare treat for thriller fans.
