While this audiobook will not replace studying or taking practice exams, it was an excellent supplement to my preparation. I drive an hour to and from work every day, and this helped me review during my drive what I’ve been learning in the Kaplan book.

Excellent supplement to studying for the GMAT

The first ~2 hours was pretty much useless to me. It talks about going to take the test, making sure to bring your ID, that you take it on a computer, etc etc (yawn) and is equivalent to about 10 minutes of googling about the format of the GMAT.

The last 3 hours of the book were actually very helpful for me, particularly with the grammar and reading sections. They give good suggestions, tricks, and help you understand what the writers and graders of the GMAT are looking for.

I took the GMAT once, then studied harder and listened to this audio book before retaking and I improved my score by 80 points. I'm happy with how things turned out.

About 60% of it was worth my time

Treat this audible as a crash course that will get you in the right direction. Expect to do a lot more work. and keep in mind that this is an older version and some things are outdated ( there’s one AWA essay in the new GMAT compared to the two AWAs mentioned here).

All in all most stuff are relevant.

Worthy.
