Sydney Shaw, like every single woman in New York, has terrible luck with dating. She’s seen it all: men who lie in their dating profile, men who stick her with the dinner bill, and worst of all, men who can't shut up about their mothers. But finally, she hits the jackpot. Her new boyfriend is utterly perfect. He's charming, handsome, and works as a doctor at a local hospital. Sydney is swept off her feet. Then the brutal murder of a young woman—the latest in a string of deaths across the coast—confounds police. The primary suspect? A mystery man who dates his victims before he kills them.

Story
It’s a beautiful day in Newport, Rhode Island, when Phoebe Stone arrives at the grand Cornwall Inn wearing a green dress and gold heels, not a bag in sight, alone. She's immediately mistaken by everyone in the lobby for one of the wedding people, but she’s actually the only guest at the Cornwall who isn’t here for the big event. Phoebe is here because she’s dreamed of coming for years—she hoped to shuck oysters and take sunset sails with her husband, only now she’s here without him, at rock bottom, and determined to have one last decadent splurge on herself.

Overall good
This was a great audio addition to any prospective law student's LSAT preparation, but it certainly can't be the only method of study. The logic games section was VERY difficult to follow, but the humorous nature of the book made up for it.

Read too fast, not all answers correct
Would you recommend Beating the LSAT 2012 Edition to your friends? Why or why not?
I would not recommend this book because I'm concerned about the accuracy of the information.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The narrator reads a complicated subject at a speed much faster than the average audio book. This makes it hard to follow some of the complex math problems without constantly rewinding and replaying sections.
Any additional comments?
Frustratingly at least one of their answers is incorrect which makes me wonder how many others are incorrect. They set up a problem where students A-G need tutoring. The relevant rules include E & F study together, if D is in writing E is in social studies, C is in social studies, and there is a max of 3 students per subject.
The question is if B is in social studies, what could be true?
Well you can cross off all the answers but A for obvious reasons.
And they declare that makes A the only accurate answer.
Except A says D is in writing.
But if D is in writing, E must study social studies, and F must study with E.
That leaves E, F, and B in social studies right? Which works because there is a max of 3.
BUT the rules also say C must be in social studies.
Which puts 4 people in social studies and there is a max of 3. Which means A could not be true unless they changed the global rules, which they did not state.
It calls into question the accuracy of any of the information in this book, when they set up a question with no correct answers, and then declared one correct that was honestly pretty easy to notice was incorrect.

Wow... Amazing
This audio book is seriously a game-changer. Highly recommend for anyone studying for LSAT with a road trip or time to listen to this. It was like a 6 hour private lesson for only $15. I'm so glad I bought this and can't wait to take the LSAT now.

Good supplement to add to your LSAT study arsenal.
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
If you are studying for the LSAT, you want to get as familiar as possible with the question types and associated strategies as possible. While an audiobook is not the ideal format for LSAT prep, it does give you the ability to get in extra study in the car or while resting, or any time that you can't read a real book or practice answering test questions on paper. You should definitely be using it to supplement your study, not as your primary study material.
This book goes through all of the question types and gives you sample questions. They are sometimes hard to follow when listening, but if you just listen to the logic and approach that the author explains, you will learn, even if you didn't totally grasp all the details of each question.

A good tool
For people studying for the LSAT, this is a good tool to use in studying. The author and narrator do a good job of keeping a person's interest in the material, even though the subject matter is dry and difficult to keep a person's interest. I listened to this over a period of several days and will listen again before I take the test, in addition to using other study methods.

Good job!
I enjoyed listening to the book. The witty sarcasm of the author is right up my ally. Though some people may be hesitant about listening to an LSAT or other standardized test prep book, I was able to listen with comprehension by taking notes along with the book. On some of the practice questions I would even pause to write them out in order to actually practice them instead of just listening to them. This is a great introduction to begin studying for the LSAT and the author makes it clear that other practice should be done. I found that the book did well in breaking down each type of question and the tips on what to look for or how to break down questions was very valuable to me. There are generalized tips and knowledge that can be useful to anyone nervous about taking the LSAT or even just beginning to study for it.

Not a book that should have recorded
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
This is a book that should not have been made into an audio book. The example problems are hard to follow as they are read to you. The book as some skills that will help you in taking the LSAT; however, a lot of the logic questions are useless when read to you. This would be a great book to listen to while at the gym or to fill your time. However, this would not make a good only study option for the LSAT.
