Publisher's summary

Joey Hayes and his best friend Ricky Branson have been together through the good times as well as the bad. Attending their first concert as teens set the path for their futures in motion. Shortly after, the pair joined band class, where they meet Ethan and Mick, and the foursome formed the metal band Social Sinners.

Things were going according to plan until Lucas Shane entered their lives, disrupting the flow and testing the strength of their friendship.

When Joey spirals down a dark path after catching his cheating boyfriend, this tasked the other three band members with making a difficult decision that could end his career as their lead singer.

AMAZING BAND THAT BECAME BROTHERS

This is the journey of the band SOCIAL SINNERS. What an AMAZING Audible narrated by Jeffrey Holz. This begins and ends on a concert stage. This is where you meet the talented lead singer Joey, incredible lead guitarist Stoli, never miss a beat bassist Mickey and dynamic drummer Diamond. What started as a dream for best friends, picking up their backbones in band class made them Rock Stars. Listen to how this band that became brothers took this journey all the way to the top. TL TRAVIS gave the words of this arduous process to teenagers, the voice of Jeffrey Holz breaths life into these characters. This is the dream of pitfalls, elation, heartbreak, understanding and trust. Go behind the scenes, here's your backstage pass. Don't miss THIS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS AUDIBLE!!!!!!

loved it

I really loved this book. Jeffrey Holz really brings this story to life and makes you love the characters even more. The story is told from Joeys POV. The characters Joey, Ricky, Mickey and Diamond are amazing. It tells the story of how the band was formed and trials the band goes through on their way to success and the bond they share.

Oh My How Delicious!

Joey and Ricky/Stoli's story was filled with rockstar coming of age, second chance GOODNESS! Their story touched every single area that gave this story the full body of entertaining pleasure. The narrator was totally awesome. Each supporting character gave the story depth. Their story gets an A+ easily. It was a pleasure to lay back and have this story being read to me by an incredible narrator. I closed my eyes and pictured Social Sinners performing live on stage giving their fans their money worth. Also, the drama was all so good in this story. I highly recommend! ENJOY!

Book hangover

I knew when this book was released on audible that I had to get my hands on it. The last thing I expected was to have a book hangover from it. I love Joey and Ricky’s story. Here we start from the beginning their childhood and how the became to love the music they play is important. While this story is completely from Joey, we understand “Open your eyes and see what is in front of you.” It’s the ending that got me the first time and it happened again. I will be grabbing the second one soon.

I also love the narrator for this book too. We get to hear Joey and Ricky grow up through the voice of the book.

A great 1st book for a series.

This book gave us the backstory of the band. You know where they come from and by the end you can see where they'll end up if they keep it together. I love the support from most of the families. It's to bad all parents don't support their child's dreams. I was afraid Joey was going to take a very bad turn. But, with help from the others and his family, he gets it together. I can't wait to read or listen to the next book.

Great rock and roll love story

One of my favorite tropes is a love story set in the world of rock and roll when done well and this one definitely was. This is a story of a childhood friendship, family, loyalty, trust and unconditional love. The author did a fabulous job of bringing the reader into the world she created... taking us behind the scenes with descriptions that built a world but never felt bogged down by too much detail. Joey and Stoli (Ricky) were likeable characters in a relationship that began in early childhood and seemed predestined. Both were gifted musically and they joyfully explored and shared their passion as they passed through adolescence and into adulthood, ultimately hitting the big time in the band they created as headliners playing big arenas. The supporting cast added so much to this and provided perspective through many lenses. I am happy that this series continues because I need more of Joey and Stoli together! I also need to give a shout out to the fabulous narration of Jeffrey Holz. It is my first time listening to him and I was so disappointed that he wasn't narrating the rest of the series. I hope the next narrator measures up because it is a tall order to fill.
