Each tale is a magic trick, luring you toward the light while leading you down an ever-darkening path. There is hope mingled with horror, and that s Chizmar s secret power. His storytelling always beats with a huge, passionate heart. Stephen King says he writes terrific stories served with a very large slice of disquiet pie, and with The Long Way Home, Richard Chizmar has taken his evocative and compelling storytelling to an entirely new level.

Story
Henri Skinner is a hardened ex-war reporter on the run from his past. On his way to see his son, Sam, for the first time in years, Henri steps into the road without looking and collides with oncoming traffic. He is rushed to a nearby hospital, where he floats, comatose, between dreams, reliving the fairy tales of his childhood and the secrets that made him run away in the first place. After the accident, Sam - a 13-year-old synesthete with an IQ of 144 and an appetite for science fiction - waits by his father’s bedside every day.

Great set of twilight zone inspired stories
Between Light and Shadows by Sarah Jane Huntington is an entertaining set of sci-fi stories. The twists and turns in the stories bring me back to the days of black & white TV show outer limits & twilight zone. The narration by Benjamin Koenig was wonderful. He brings the characters and stories to life. I received a free copy of this audiobook for my honest review.

SHADES OF THE TWILIGHT ZONE!!!
BETWEEN LIGHT AND SHADOW BY Sarah Jane Huntington & Narration by: Benjamin Koenig is a compilation of short stories structured around the old TV series "THE TWILIGHT ZONE" Each story tells the tale that, at first, seems like a pretty typical plot but, the ending catches one off guard! I was really impressed to how the author did take a ho hum story and make it twist just enough to leave me saying, "what?" The narration by Benjamin Koenig was ok. I understand him trying to imitate Rod Serling but let's face it: there was and will be only one Rod Serling and in this humble listener opinion there never will be another!
Other than the narration, I HIGHLY recommend BETWEEN LIGHT AND SHADOW. The stories are well worth the listen.

Phenomenal Stories
If you loved the tv show "The Twilight Zone" your going to love this anthology of short stories. Every story in this book contains a creep factor of its own rather scary in nature or the moral freaks you out. Every story in this book either tells a truth you don't want to admit to out loud or baffled the mind in some way. I highly recommend this book if love stories with hidden morals with a bit of horror.
I received this book for free upon my request but it has no bearing on my honest unbiased review that I am voluntarily leaving of my own volition.

Some were interesting some not so much. I always loved "The Twilight Zone" and this is reminent of them. Narrator voice has a slur to it making it difficult to understand what is being said at some parts in this book.
