About this listen

Real estate manager Carly Andrew's predictable life in Bar Harbor is turned upside down when the rich and charismatic Adam Noble breezes into her office and asks her to help him find the perfect property to settle down in. Despite her misgivings, Carly soon finds herself intensely drawn to Adam, and it seems the feeling is mutual. Could it be that the source of the domestic bliss Adam craves is closer to home than he thinks?

Heroine is a doormat

The Hero was a bully and the story basically disgusted me. The Heroine needed a backbone and not be convinced the man she "fell in love with" within 2 days, proceeded to accuse her of underhanded business practices, then escorted another woman around town and in turns harassed her, manhandling her, told her his life's backstory, then treated her with cold distaste and expecting her to treat him as something to admire and obey, was really something I couldn't stomach. I kept hoping the story would get better, but it never did.
