 The purpose of this book is to offer you material for your “work, planned exercise and conscious development of the believing, hoping and loving life” as a human being dedicated to God. As Biblical Students we know that what we have imbibed we share with others in our lives and by means of passing on our beliefs to the youth - the future of our Church and our world. In my reflections on the Scripture passages, I use a method known as Lectio divina, (Latin for divine reading, or spiritual reading). It is a traditional Christian practice of scriptural reading and prayer intended both to increase knowledge and understanding of the biblical text and to promote communion with God. This book is designed to assist in your personal faith journey through the Word of God; it can be of assistance in adult Bible sharing groups; and can also be of assistance in Religious Education and Faith Formation groups with children and youth. Biblical Stories is a follow-up to my first book Praying the Scriptures (Monk Media: 2018).
