About this listen

Big Easy Murder is a novella in the Peyton Clark Series!

Peyton Clarks life is anything but ordinary. And it's about to get even more bizarre.

As if it weren't enough to be on the receiving end of the affections of two men, one of whom is deceased, Peyton finds herself in the middle of a murder mystery taking place nearly 60 years earlier.

Ryan Kelly, her very much alive boyfriend, is by her side while the spirit of Drake Montague, a 19th-century policeman, is inside her head and her heart.

As Peyton finds herself drawn into the shadowy world of New Orleans voodoo, she can only hope she escapes unscathed. Or will she become the victim of another murder in the Big Easy?

Trouble getting into the story

I really loved the first 2 books so even after reading the reviews I couldn’t stop myself from purchasing the third book. I’m so sorry I did. I had trouble getting into the story. I’m sure the reader might be better for another book but not this one. I felt like I was listening to Peytons grandmother so hard to believe the relationship between her and Ryan which felt non existent. Also I had trouble hearing everything Drake said... what was with the echo? Really hoping for another book but please bring back the original reader. As much as I enjoyed the first two books, I have no plans to purchase a fourth book if this person is reading again what would be the point?

Disappointed in narrator change

The book is wonderful. However I was greatly disappointed when the narrator changed. I got so use to the previous narrator from the first two audio books, that the change in voices took away from the story telling. Not to mention the previous narrator in books 1 & 2 voice fit the voice of Peyton Clarke completely, young, flirty, and strong. This narrator for book 3, sound too old with a raspy voice, so it made Peyton sound old. Not to mention she sound as if she was rushing the story along. Also, I didn't care for the sound effects used with Drake in Peyton's head. It took away from the story completely. Please bring back the original narrator/reader. She was perfect for the Peyton Clarke audio.
