About this listen
Looking for a fresh start after the death of his partner, homicide detective Jack Lee and his wife move to Cedar Island, WA, where he accepts the position of chief of police.
Jack hopes to leave his past behind him and settle into the small community. However, upon arriving, the body of a woman turns up, a child goes missing, and a devastating mudslide hits the town. Even crazier are the rumors of a Bigfoot lurking around.
Enter Jack’s longtime friend, Dr. Allie Chandler, an anthropologist. Her lifetime obsession with Sasquatch could at least answer one of the burning questions plaguing his island.
Now, the hunt is on for a killer, a missing child, and even Bigfoot... though not necessarily in that order.
What Readers are saying:
★★★★★ “Bigfoot Island by Eve Paludan, the bestselling author of multi-genre stories, has given reality to encounters documented over the ages! The author has instilled a memorable and detailed appreciation of Una, the Bigfoot, who is introduced as the likes of a loving, intelligent, family-oriented member of planet earth. Enjoy a different kind of adventure as you read with excitement this fast-moving and entertaining novel.” —Amazon review
★★★★★ “Part of the story is charmingly told from the point of view of the female Bigfoot, Una, who rescues an infant from a car trapped in a mudslide, then disappears. I gave this entertaining story five stars. I look forward to more novels in this planned series. Next book, please!” —Amazon review
★★★★★ “Storytelling at its finest! If I could give this book 6 stars I would! This book starts out with Una the Sasquatch losing her family in a natural disaster, only to find a human infant and does only what any mother would do: which is care for the infant. In this book, we also meet Jack who was a detective in a large city who relocated back to his roots for a fresh start and a last ditch effort to save his dying marriage. Jack takes the position as police chief and finds himself and a long time friend and anthropologist smack-dab in the middle of trying to locate this missing child. In their search, they encounter the unexpected and meet the most loveable character that I’ve ever encountered! Una will pull at your heart strings and Eve Paludan writes this character in such a way that makes you think that Sasquatches really do exist. If you are a fan of Harry and the Hendersons, you you will love this book! So glad this is not a standalone book! One of the best books I have read this year!” —Amazon review
★★★★★ “This delightful mystery was a fun way to spend an afternoon. Imagine the world of Bigfoot if they did exist... how would they see the humans that they see in the distance? That’s exactly what Eve Paludan gives us. Tie that in with a natural disaster, a mysterious death, and a fascinating island off the coast of Washington... and you have a great read. The best part of Eve Paludan’s books are her characters... they all have imperfections which make them so human and easy to relate to. This one was no exception! Can’t wait to read the next in the series! Will Bigfoot be there, too, or will we get to meet a different mysterious creature?” —Amazon review
★★★★★ “I absolutely loved this book! I’ve never read anything like it and it was very interesting to say the least. I couldn’t put it down because it was something that intrigued me so much... just because you never know! Great book!” —Amazon review

Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. The story was a clever blend of a detective story interlaced with a cryptid twist.
This was a good twist in a detective story showing humanity at its best and worst.

Good listen
Was a good book that made a long story short. Good topic and storyline. A few times I didn’t see a few things coming like they did. Jumped around a little bit in all a good story and I’d listen to again.

IDKY anyone would think virtual voice is good. It's really terrible and completely ruins books. I couldn't finish because the narration was so bad.
