About this listen

Ricky Weir is a man with a past.

He returns to Vietnam, a country he once hated to work on its biodiversity programs and hopes that by doing so he can help to repair some of the damage he had inflicted in his younger, earlier days. Ricky had been a flight lieutenant with the USAF tasked with spreading Agent Orange over large parts of Vietnam. The story explores how he was shot down and imprisoned in Hanoi before being repatriated back to the States when the war was over.

In some ways Hana Nguyen is a woman with a past but it is a past that she doesn't like talking about. A microbiologist, she's part of a team helping to contain threats to Vietnam's new biodiversity projects. She finds herself drawn to the American biodiversity expert but will their love survive when she finds out that Weir helped the spread of Agent Orange and perhaps had a hand in the death of her parents.
