About this listen

There are more than 10 thousand different kinds of birds. Birds are warm-blooded animals with a backbone, strong skeleton, and toothless beaked jaws. They have hollow bones that help them fly. There are all sizes of birds. The bee hummingbird is the smallest bird. The ostriches is the biggest. Birds are an important part of our world.

Did you know?

This friendly little book took me by surprise! I consider myself very knowledgeable on birds. Yet, I hadn't thought of the biggest bird that ever existed, or the tiniest-or the bird that has said the most words! Simple things like that always surprise me. This book is wonderful that way.

It does a commendable job creating awareness about bird preservation and their wellbeing. I can also see this book as a truly valuable introduction to birds for kids or anyone-really. Furthermore, the great clear voice from the narrator and a very organized and engaging writing style from the author, makes it a real treat!
