About this listen

Ace Shades wears sunglasses at all times, even at night. For the longest time, he couldn't remember the color of his eyes nor the last time he took his sunglasses off. Were it not for his time in the asylum, he would have remembered his eyes as a different color entirely.

He takes this aspect of himself very seriously, wearing sunglasses at all times, and he takes great offense when the topic is brought up why he wears sunglasses at all times, especially at night.

He also takes every other aspect of himself very seriously and wears all black to show the world just how serious he is. Wearing a black trench coat, a black pair of Chuck Taylor All Stars, and whatever black pants and black socks he can find, the self-proclaimed detective prowls the streets of rural Tennessee, and looks for trouble where there isn’t any.

But hardly anyone takes him seriously; in fact, hardly anyone knows who he is.

The truth is lying in the world he inhabits––somewhere, somewhen.

For every detective, a mystery means something to solve. In the mind of a detective, there's a reason for everything: All mysteries, at their core, make sense only when you get to the bottom of them—from their very beginning, their explanation becomes a simple cause and effect.

For Ace Shades, his entire life is a mystery. His past is a darkened cloud, a faded memory left only with flashes of a hazy life. His old life, as he remembers it, outside of being a detective, remains a contradiction. He can only recount half-remembered moments, feelings and emotions, broken pieces of a puzzle.

When a new case is thrust upon Ace Shades, the self-proclaimed detective––along with the help of his trusted friends and colleagues––embarks on a journey unlike any other he's faced before (customary, of course, for the life of a detective), where he must confront his inner demons and the past he chose to leave behind.

Black is the Night... BITN... Bitten? 🖤

Oh my GOD I am so excited that the sequel came out.
Black Is The Night opens exactly how you would expect it to, and brings us back into the brilliant chaotic mind (minds?) of its protagonists. This story takes us out from the backwoods of rural Tennessee and into the neon lights of the 'big city'.
With so many surprising laugh out loud moments, and a new antagonist that's equally as ancient and ridiculous as the last, BITN slaaaaaays. 🖤
