As always, there is the Grace of God in Ellis Peter’s writings. Though written as well, Christy’s lacks this quality and leaves one with the impression that evil, not Grace, is the stronger. Certainly not reading murder mystery expecting happy endings, but Peter’s writings leave one with Hope, which is far better.

Superb - a beautifully written novel, excellently narrated. Poignant, dramatic, sensitive, romantic, both tragic and hopeful.

EXCELLENT

This is the best of a very good series. Extremely well read by a preeminent narrator, Simon Preble. Enjoy!

Ellis Peter's description of even the slightest touch or movement can engulf the reader in depths of emotions I would never have thought possible. I have enjoyed and re-read many of her works, and this one reminded me why I am so taken with her writings.
