Publisher's summary

The Rwandan Genocide served as one of the moments which the world chose to look away. This audiobook looks at what the world turned its eyes away from.

In examining the United Nations’ decisions during the 1994 Rwandan genocide incident, one can clearly see issues concerning conflicting interests among key actors in the United Nations’ decision-making process. Throughout the process of the United Nations taking in demands and supports and converting those inputs into decisions, one can clearly see that a breakdown did occur somewhere in the process. The Rwandan genocide has often been seen as one of the United Nations’ greatest failures.

Any additional comments?

This is a good explanation of a moment in history that gets over looked so often. I am just surprised it is not mentioned in more history text books.Perhaps that way we could learn from our past, but we will probably not learn much because things like this keep getting swept under the rug.
