When love storms in...

Wealth manager Sam Conrad is accustomed to his domineering father ordering him around, especially at the bank where they both work. But when his father demands that Sam manage the inheritance of his bossy ex-fiancée, Sam has finally had enough.

He leaves in search of a new life, and attorney Big Roy Bosarge from Mobile, Alabama, agrees to mentor Sam on his quest for direction. Sam didn't expect to be thrown together with Big Roy's eccentric and opinionated daughter.

Storm damage forces lonely romance writer Elinor Bosarge and her hairless cat Mr. Darcy out of her Fort Morgan Beach cottage. She plans to take refuge in the boathouse on her parents' estate, but finds the place already occupied by one of her father's "projects".

She's shocked her father would allow another young man onto the property after his last mentee robbed her family and broke her heart. And from the moment she meets Sam Conrad, they disagree about everything, from her cat to how to best renovate a local nursing home.

Between her mother's health issues and the hurricane brewing in the Gulf, Elinor feels like her life is being ripped apart. It doesn't help that she's falling for the man she's determined not to trust. Sam finds himself drawn to Elinor, wanting to help her and this new family he's grown to love. But can he overcome the barrier she's built to keep him out?

When the storm rages and the two of them are blown together, can Elinor find the faith to open her heart again?

Blowing In

Blown Together
:Janet W. Ferguson

This is a clean romance between a man and woman, recovering from bad relationships. Both had trust issues and weren't looking for romance. It was great watching their

romance evolve and change. Through in a memory care facility, a bald cat, a dog, oh and lets not forget a hurricane and exes. I'd like to see more books with these

characters that start out unlikable but end up different.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Leonor A. Woodworth gives another fantastic performance.

Christian Romance with Two Broken Hearts

This clean Christian romance has two characters that have been burned in the past. They were not looking for romance or to get involved with anyone. I loved the sphinx cat, although Elinor was kind of annoying for most of the book. I did like how patient Sam was with her.

Narration was excellent and brought the story to life. The story sucked me in and kept me entertained all the way to the end.

The characters grow on you as the story develops. They were prickly at first, specially Elionor, but they evolve with the story, they are much more than they appear at first. Sweet HEA with Bible verses, faith, and humor woven into the story.

More than they appeared.

I almost stopped listening to this one...I'm SO GLAD I didn't. The characters were so much more than they originally appeared. The story was sometimes touching & sometimes funny. Too often we write people off by who they 'appear' to be when they really are more lovable when we get to see inside. I really enjoyed this story after I got beyond the surface.
The narrator did a great job with bringing the characters & story to life.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars – to the author and narrator – they did an awesome job.
This is a well written story that hooks you from the beginning with an introduction to Mr. Darcy and his eccentric owner. Grab a copy – you’ll enjoy it!

Good story

Good story, although the craziness of Eleanor got me a bit annoyed after awhile.
I did enjoy Sam and the rest of the characters though. I did enjoy the narration a lot, a very good narrator. This was a Christian and clean story.

Good Narration and Enjoyable Story!

*Reviewing the audio book version of this story.*

I enjoyed the narrator. She was easy to listen to and did slight changes in tone of voice and inflection as she read different characters.

Blown Together is the fourth book in the Southern Hearts series, which is a series I have really liked reading. This book can definitely be read as a stand alone novel if you haven't read any of the other books.

Since I had read the earlier books in the series, I was familiar with Sam Conrad. I was surprised at how much I liked Sam in this book, as he was not a character I ever liked before. I thought the author did a great job of providing background about Sam, which made him relatable. He also had quite a faith journey and a lot of growth in this novel.

I struggled with liking Elinor. She was high maintenance and fairly quick in her judgments because of things that had happened in the past. However, I liked her a lot more by the end of the book, as I began to see her through Sam's eyes.

This story had plenty of deep moments, yet there was a lot of humor peppered throughout, as well.

I received a complimentary copy of this audio book. All opinions are my own.

Sweet Southern Romance

Several of Janet Ferguson's books have been on my TBR pile for a while now and I'm sorry I didn't get to them sooner. I was gifted a copy of the audiobook of Blown Together and really enjoyed it. I definitely will be reading the first three books in the Southern Hearts series. Elinor and Sam are pretty much thrown together by her father to plan a fundraising gala and neither one is too happy about the situation. And yet, there begins the romance...one that is not without tension though. And then there are those moments that make the reader just sigh with satisfaction. Each has a past that intrudes on their present. Will it prevent a future together for them? The author has deftly woven faith into the humor and romance of the book and readers who love a sweet Southern romance will not want to miss this one. Leonor A. Woodworth does a great job narrating Elinor and Sam's story which made an enjoyable listening experience. I was not required to write a review and the opinions are my own.

Clean Goodness

Blown Together is still good light read on a lazy day.
Sam Connor and Elinor Bosarge are blown together when a tree falls on Elinor’s cottage and she moves back into her parents’ place. Sam leaves Mobile, Alabama to start his life over after an argument with his father. Agreeing to be mentored by Big Roy in exchange for a place to live and some financial advice, Sam moves into the Bosarge boathouse, which throws Elinor's plans into a tizzy. What Sam's plans did not include was a new relationship, especially with a demanding, allergy-ridden, historical romance writer, but when Elinor’s mother has surgical complications and a hurricane is brewing, Sam and Elinor are blown together.
Lenor A. Woodard is an excellent narrator for this book. She has a whiny voice for the complaining and very distinct character voices that make the story come alive.
