About this listen

Jendua is an extraterrestrial who arrives on Earth in search of a companion, Zendor, who came voluntarily to the planet many centuries ago. Over time and after several lifetimes, Zendor has lost his memory of his stellar origin. Jendua has the remote support of the mission commander and his spirit guide to find and awaken him, but none of them will be able to prevent him from having difficulties on his mission.

Jendua, being a space traveler, is greatly impacted by the contrast of Earth with the world he comes from. And he begins to experience a sense of attachment to a beautiful woman he meets, which may lead him to decide to stay on Earth, which is primitive to him, and will ruin his mission. Jendua will discover something hidden from his past, and will understand that he somehow unconsciously came to Earth not only to "awaken" Zendor to remember his true identity but to unearth a hidden memory in his own past.

This science fiction book tells us about the extraterrestrial help on Earth, and invites us to think about our personal mission. This is not a message to convince the skeptical, but a wake-up call for the sleeping.

Aliens and More

Blue Planet Mission was written by Francisco Villate and narrated by Michael Reaves. This story of an enlightened alien searching for a missing comrade, while also helping the earthlings to evolve and survive the coming epoch. While the thoughts behind the character's motives and some of the theological ideas overall were interesting, they did not resonate with me. The dialogue between all the characters seemed very flat and unnatural. There was no real conflict to overcome and the great test for humanity didn't even happen. The main character was never in any true danger. Furthermore, what little conflict or tension there was present, was quickly resolved.

Michael Reaves' narration of this book was lacking in pitch and tone. While he spoke clearly, there was a disconnect between him and the storyline.

Editing, quality, and production were on par with most books I have listened to. It was clear, with no issue with sound or quality.
