About this listen

At first, the day seems like any other Sunday in a quiet English village... but then something very strange starts to happen.

In each house, the clocks go bonkers, their hands whizzing round like lightning. And in each house, the adults go a little bonkers too! Their extraordinary behaviour is just hilarious at first, but when it becomes more threatening, the children decide they’ll have to do something.

A family favorite

Due to an unexplained phenomenon, kids swap roles with with their parents. Both light-hearted and at times deadly serious, as adult bodies with childlike minds and xenophobia recreate a Monsters are due on Maple Street situation. This was a favorite library rental book-on-tape of mine when I was a boy, it brings me joy that it too is a favorite of son's since about 4. Highly recommended.
