About this listen
Even in the most advanced human civilizations, true warriors must be able to separate themselves from the status of prey. For an aspiring Azaarian herald, that crucible begins as a naked warrior cast into the wilderness with nothing more than their own extremities and intellect to survive. While prioritizing their survival activities, they must also complete a journey of nearly five thousand miles before even being accepted into the fold of herald trainees.
After witnessing the slaughter of his parents as an eight-year-old boy, Botan Rah vowed that no other Azaarian child would ever again face such horrors should he manage to earn the title of Herald of Azaar. Although his journey would be long and the challenges awaiting him were nearly insurmountable, his determination to succeed was far greater than any obstacle he could potentially encounter. That said, the Azaarian Triad of War does not show favor to anyone, and in order for the mighty Botan Rah to emerge victorious, he must first be broken and undone.
The trials and challenges for each future herald are dealt solely by the almighty hand of Azaar. While they differ greatly from prospect to prospect, in order to ascend to greatness, every warrior must first learn the lessons of defeat. Botan Rah would receive these lessons partly from a gorgon, a ferocious beast, and partly from the Chezhian army, which had already killed his parents and now sought to kill him.

Story
Compiled by intrepid journalist Neve Pride, this archive of recordings spans the months after dragons emerged on earth, chronicling the communities that sprang up amid the destruction, the scientists, military leaders, and experts searching for a defense, and those steadfastly seeking the missing. Neve and her young daughter Bex travel among the wreckage speaking to those left behind and surviving, against all odds. Neve records everything for history, and in the hopes of locating a clue as to where the dragons came from and how one might stop them.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

The System is here! Most of the population of the planet were suddenly turned into zombies, while the rest acquired new abilities. Abilities that let them run from the zombies, save themselves, hide, and try to survive. But it only takes one bite that almost always means death. Our hero was standing in line when the apocalypse came. He was lucky at first to be caught in a crowd when the zombies tried to bite him on the leg. Really lucky, because those trials unlocked new abilities for him.

Fantastic story
Botan Rah by Riano McFarland i is an Amazing Adventure story. Aaron Miles is an Amazing narrator. McFarland may have wrote a world that seems like reality But Miles helps bring the story to life. How the story is written makes you feel like you are a struggling warrior alongside the Protagonist. The protagonist didn’t have an easy life. The story draws you in. It's interesting, entertaining, very engaging, emotional, and more. Will Botan Ran find revenge on the people who killed his parents? Will he become Herald of Azaar? Will he survive the trials? These are all great questions listen and find out. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.would recommend

Strength Forged in Trials
A phenomenal novel from this brilliant author! I was completely captivated by the journal of Botan Rah—his journey, especially the thrilling encounters with the Gorgon, held my complete attention. The vivid storytelling and intense moments kept me on the edge of my seat! I’m already hoping for a sequel to see more of Botan Rah’s strength, unwavering resolve, and incredible adventures. I’d also love to dive deeper into the fascinating world of the Heralds in action. Early on, I used the Kindle to familiarize myself with the unique names - sometimes (it might just be me) I find it easier to understand when I can see the words written out. A five-star masterpiece, whether you read or listen!

The Fantastic World of Botan Rah
This is a very good story, with the biggest kudos going towards the author's skill for world-building. The story draws you in, making you feel the struggles of a young warrior traveling the Azaarian energy streams on his quest to become a Herald of Azaar. Aaron Miles does a great job telling Riano McFarland's incredible story. There was a hiccup on chapter 2, causing the chapter to restart; however, it did not detract from my enjoyment of the story. Having read LISA: Lifeform in Suspended Animation, this epic adventure tale kept me captivated in a typical McFarland way. There's lots of action and suspense, as well as highly poignant moments between the protagonist and supporting characters. Overall, I would highly recommend it!
