About this listen

Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Ryan Michele brings the action packed, angst filled story of second chances.

Oh what a wicked web we weave . . . Marine, Benjamin Dryerson has been to war and knows the ugly side of freedom. It changes a man leaving him knowing what is important in life. He's found peace in the Ravage Motorcycle Club and the family that comes with the cut.

And her . . . Katie lives in a constant war of her own, a battle of wills against herself with no escaping. She knows the cruel side of freedom. What most people take for granted, she's had to claw for a sliver of good.

She's far too damaged to let the war rage on. Guilt consumes her and the only comfort she's ever known was wrapped in his arms.

Second chances don't happen for people like Katie, no matter how desperately she wants it. Or how much Dryerson desires to be the one to give her a new life. Fate intervenes, pulling them together in a combustible way they never saw coming.

Neither did the club. Friend or Foe? Only one way to know. The Ravage MC way . . .

Contains mature themes.

Slow to start

Slow to start Katie was a little whinny and poor me but once you get through that the story gets better

Dryerson and Katie

An exciting, emotional, intense and beautiful romance. I enjoyed going on this ride with Dryerson and Katie.

Oh my God

Where to start, I’m going to get right to the point. Skip to the last two hours or so because that’s when the pity party ends. I know that the author was just trying to give some outlook on how the heroine felt but that was just ridiculous it just dragged on and on. Not even the little baby couldn’t even save those parts of the story. The last two hours or so saved this book.

One word

Therapy. This chick needed therapy stat after they were rescued. Too much time was spent on her pity party hate myself attitude instead of getting her help and healing from what happened. I fast forwarded through most of this book.

Last one for me

Last Ravage book for me. What was once one of
my favorite MC Series has become a joke. Weak women are becoming the norm, cheap twin set ups, pity me tropes that go one for 80% of a book, the brother's personalities changing from one book to the next... Nah. I'm done.

Katie is a weak, ridiculous, pity me, pile of sadness. I was tired of her by chapter 3, but it just went on and on. How about a little glimmer of her getting better? Nope. She was unbearable. Can't stand this trope and it's like the 4th or 5th character of Ryan Michele's that has been like this in this series. Dryerson deserved a medal and possibly some therapy for being attracted to her in the first place.

HEA after a lot of BS, but not worth the listen.

Used to love a lot of these characters but RM turned them into asshol3s. Cruz, Tug, and the rest of the og guys not kicking Jax ass and telling him to stand down with Micah was just unforgivable. I'll relisten to a few of the original books but otherwise I've lost faith in RM to bring good characters or a good story to the table. Her weak female leads are enough to make me want to scream.
