Just OK narration is barely tolerable

Just OK narration is barely tolerable It would’ve been better if she had just read the book but trying to use the accents was excruciating to listen to. Even at a speed of 1.5. There is no way I could’ve listen to this at the original recording speed. At times I had to speed it up to 1.7. Maybe that is why they put it in a box set.

Alcott Family Adventures

Normally I really enjoy cozy mysteries, but I found this series a challenge to get through. The characters were quirky and I liked the main parts of the storyline. I struggled with how rambling things were… There was a lot of time spent with building up the characters and their relationships, but when it came to the solving of the mystery, it was rushed and lacking.

I was given a free review copy of this audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.

What a family!

If all billionaires could be humble and kind. There are a lot of family members in the cast. Once you read book number one you’ll be familiar with everyone and be able to keep up. Have fun!

Every stereotype represented

Filled with characters representing unflattering stereotypes of racial, gender, and social classes. By second book, crimes are being solved by mystical means. Not for me.

Cartoon narration

I would have enjoyed these books except for the absolutely annoying narration. I felt I was listening to my grandchildren ‘s TV shows. The storyline was OK and I liked the characters but those voices......... . I won’t blame the narrator here because I have listened to her before and she did a great job in other books. I can only assume she was directed to do the voices this way. Poor choice in my opinion.

Not for me

Maybe someone else will enjoy this but I didn't. The characters are too flaky and the mystery isn't very interesting.
