Lawrence McLendon II is an African-American 10-year-old boy who loves basketball. The morning of his birthday party, his dad surprises him with front-row tickets to the Lakers game. One of the staff put him on the list to get something autographed. The only thing is, he has is his favorite shoes on; nevertheless, his favorite star, LeBron James, signs the shoes.

THAT NIGHT THE SHOES START TO GLOW ON THE COUNTER…

And he passes it as a dream, and when he goes to school, some bullies start to get him to give them his shoes, he thinks about one of his favorite anime characters, Naruto, and he dodges the bullies and goes into super speed all the way to his class. Then after that, he realized his shoes were still glowing while the teacher was giving a lecture, then he could not wait to get home to test his powers.

HE DISCOVERS THAT HE CAN HAVE ANY SUPERHERO POWERS AS LONG AS HE WEARS HIS MAGICAL SHOES.

His dad went to fuss at him about being distracted in class, and he tried to show his dad that he had superpowers, but when he tried to show his parents, it did not work, and they thought it was his imagination. Then when he went back to his room, he realized that he had to have the shoes on to make it work. He believes he can protect his parents, and the whole city, with his newfound superpowers from the evil guys he sees every day in the news. He realizes he could help a lot of people. The problem is:

How long will he be able to keep it a secret from his parents?
