a little longer and slower paced than I usually prefer but if I speed talk rate it is better

organized descriptive suspenseful

The Ai voice misses things like cal, as in caliber, and says calorie. And other abbreviations are mispronounced but over all it’s a good story. Unfortunately the Ai doesn’t do well at demonstrating emotion in tense situations in the voiceover.

Neat story about surviving, and then some, after the destruction of society. Just the right amount of detail on events, personalities, technology, etc.

Matt and "family" are forced to high-tail it off their land when the heat from the Nomads becomes too great and seek shelter on an island. Most of the story involves them gathering resources for not only defense but some crafty surveillance equipment. Eventually, things became heated not only from the Nomads but from a source they hadn't expected and were ill-prepared for.

Virtual Voice 'puter was still narrating the story extremely well.

Onto Book 3.

Book 2 was an enjoyable continuation of the series
