A stand alone novel that's worth your time!
First the performance- great voices to match the characters, appropriate emotion and pace, and nothing to distract from the story.
As for the story this is an age old tale with an interesting spin. I liked that it wasn't "modern day fairy tale " perfect but it wasn't "Game of Thrones" disconcerting. I also liked that it was a stand alone story, no waiting years to find out what's next.
the only thing is that jumping from point of view to point of view was mildly confusing. It required backing up to get back on the right path. Regardless, I listen to this book over and over. it's worth having in one's collection.

Unique Fantasy
This book was pretty good. I thought the different factions, the world, and the magic system was unique. I liked the FMC a lot and the little plot twists were played nicely.
If you enjoy books about revealing secrets, fighting oppression, forbidden love, and an HEA, then this book is for you. There is a third-act breakup, but it does end in an HEA.

The story was original. With Magic, Vampires, Hybrids and other creatures. Multiple POVs that Dhalia Summers voiced and narrated beautifully.
