The book I needed to restart my journey
Brownies for Breakfast is the book I needed to restart my journey to a healthier life. Listening to Lynne tell her story helped me feel like I can do this. It’s like having a good friend by your side encouraging you as you move forward……and yes, I would definitely have her brownies for breakfast. They are really good!

Treat yourself to this audiobook
LPB is very well-informed in the topic of diabetes and living a sugar-free lifestyle. Her gentle and soothing voice makes this audiobook a pleasure to listen to. The recipes are simple-to-follow and she tells great stories along the way.

Sugar buster!
In Brownies for Breakfast, Lynne Bowman truly exemplifies the power of the spoken word. I previously read the hardcopy in fast fashion form and basically selected the recipes that my daughter cooked up - yum! However, what a difference to have Lynne herself explain the why’s and hows of kicking sugar out of our diets and why cooking is better for you, but also saves you dollars and creates the feel-good feeling in your looks and attitude. She details tips for stocking up your pantry, kitchen basics of what you need to cook (pots, utensils, etc), nutrition facts (fake sugars, reading labels, etc.) - this and many more suggestions to get ahead of our dietary challenges. But it’s her voice that made a big impact on me. When I read her book, the information was helpful - similar to other nutrition cookbooks. But it was Lynn herself that ignited me into action with her down-to-earth, no-nonsense attitude and voice. I believe all of us have knowledge of what we need to do to kick the sugar habit but listening to Lynne gave me that excitement to get off the excuse route (which I have many) and just do it. Audible makes it possible to listen to Lynne anywhere and whatever I’m doing. I like the fact that I can also jot down notes at the same time rather than exercising my eyeballs going left to right from book to paper. If you haven’t read the hard copy, I believe that after having a taste of Lynne reading out loud to you will find yourself having the book for reference as well getting deep down the internet web listening to her interviews and her website. Then again, I think I’ll keep Lynne on rewind to keep me on track.
