About this listen
Clean cut, all-American, hot as sin, and sweet enough to lick all over.
That’s how my friend Skye describes Miles Blake. It’s how I’d describe him, too, if I didn’t just find out the one-night stand that rocked my world is my best friend’s fiancé’s best friend…God, what a mouthful.
Now, the cat’s out of the bag, and despite the lingering attraction between us, I’ve locked him firmly in the friend zone.
What else am I supposed to do? If I allow myself to enjoy Miles the way I want to, what will happen when things inevitably go bad? We’d be putting our prospective best friends in the middle, that’s what. And I refuse to be the cause of tension between my bestie and the love of her life.
No way. No how.
But it doesn’t take long for the desire simmering inside me to come to a head. Miles is charming, funny, gorgeous, and kind…everything I could want in a man wrapped in a sexy package that makes my body revolt against my mind and its ridiculous decision to keep things friendly.
So we make a deal––we’ll remain friends, but with…ahem…benefits. Nothing changes outside of the bedroom, and when we end the physical stuff, we’ll remain friends. No harm. No foul.
It’s the perfect plan, right?

Another great Branson Bandits story!
I loved the first book in this series and absolutely loved this one as well. If you liked the first book with Tessa and Riggs, try this one out to find out more about Roxy. Such a cute little town and cast of characters! Definitely a fun series.

Entertaining
Bump and Run is book 2 in the Branston Bandits series. It’s an entertaining sports romance.
Miles and Roxy have instant chemistry with fun banter as they explored their friendship. This was a fun, easy read that definitely brought the emotions and steam.
Cecily Foster and Josh Innerst did a really nice job narrating this book.

Friends to lovers
The second book in the Branston Bandits series.
Even tough they are combustible together, Roxy friend zones Miles in order to not cause issues for her best friend should it not work out between them. As they begin to spend more time together, Roxy comes up with a friends with benefits arrangement which Miles agrees to, for now. This works for them until real feelings come into play. Now they need to take the chance to get their own HEA.
Great narration by Cecily Foster and Josh Innerst once again.

Just the right hint of endearing.
James takes the spice of life and the irony of emotion to heart. Miles and Roxy speak the words we explicitly feel, but don't always say. Foster and Innerst walk a fine line between witty and frustrating to find just the right hint of endearing.

Electric Chemistry and Heartfelt Moments
This is a delightful listen! Roxy and Miles's story starts with a steamy one-night stand, only for Roxy to discover he's deeply connected to her social circle. Determined to keep things platonic to avoid friend group drama, they opt for a "friends with benefits" arrangement. Their chemistry is electric, and their journey is filled with humor, romance, and emotional moments. I loved how Roxy struggled with her boundaries while Miles's charm and kindness kept pulling her in. The narrators did an excellent job bringing the characters to life. This audiobook is a perfect blend of fun, spice, and heartfelt moments. Highly recommend it for fans of sports romance and friends-to-lovers tropes!

Bump and Run
Bump and Run is the second book in the Branston Bandits series. Miles Blake has a the funny easy going, sexy teammate of Riggs. Miles moves into Riggs house, when Riggs moved in with Tessa. Miles goes to dinner at the restaurant that Roxie works. It is one of the nicer restaurants in Branston. They had an instant attraction to each other. Roxie was just scared of commitment. Miles is not willing to loose her and agrees to friends with benefits, even though he wants forever. This was cute and spicy.
Cecily Foster and Josh Innerst did a great job narrating this book.

Excellent Series!
I really enjoyed seeing their relationship progress from the initial one night stand. The author weaved together a beautiful story that made me yearn for more. I devoured this book and was actually kind of sad when it ended. Another winner from this author!

favorite of the trilogy so far!!
Gahhhh this one was my favorite of the trilogy so far (I hope we get more from this world, I am loving these cute, sexy, and palate cleanser from some of the darker books I listen to!) I enjoyed how hard Miles fell and how he had to work on getting Roxy to see him as more than a friend. I get her worry, that if something were to happen between them it would ruin the friend dynamic, but he ends up putting everything in jeopardy anyway. So why not go with your heart and just have the leap of faith?!
I enjoyed this sports romance, friends to lovers, reluctant romance hahaha. The football hints and glimpses were so fun, I enjoyed his explanations to Roxy (an avid football fan here made me giggle haha). I liked seeing for once he guy being the first to fall and the one to push for the relationship, it was a nice change of pace. I thought the friends in this one were spot on too, like come on girl we all know you like him and he likes you...just go for it!! The tension and chemistry between them was ridiculous, I loved how protective he was of her (him barging in on her date was hilarious and knight in shining armor). I like they could be blunt with one another, they didnt hold back when one was being ridiculous (even though Miles had to play off the friends with benefits thing for a bit). Miles proved himself time and time again Roxy could depend on him, that he wasnt going to go anywhere. I also loved how golden retriever, funny guy, flirtiness galore Miles was. He made me smile so much and I was so jelly of Roxy haha.
Narration was good again in this one, the male narrator had to switch it up (I mean he did book 1 so that helped cement these personalities of all the guys) and really did a great job with Miles’ performances. It was so believable, the angst of not being with Roxy fully, the perseverance to make her his, and his goofy but sexy nature was perfection. The female narrator did a good job in this one as well, with how stubborn Roxy was, but how deep down she wanted to let Miles in and sweep her off her feet. She did a great job with the friends as well, keeping their personalities in check and making them all believable and come to life for listeners. Overall solid 4.5/5 for the narration!
Couldn't get enough of this story, the ending make me laugh so hard and the smile stayed on my face hours afterward. This is the kind of book that makes you feel good and brightens your day. Loved their love story, wish it was longer 😍😍😍

Book 2 - Branston Bandits
This is book 2 in James' Branston Bandits series and can be read as a standalone, but I think better when read in series order as there is character crossover. This book is the journey of Roxie and Miles (best friends of our main characters from book 1 - The Turnover. Not as many football puns in this one but still super fun and I loved the scene with the football cookies - so funny! James' delivers a wonderfully well written and narrated romance read with a great balance of sweet and steam. These characters fight their HEA love from the very start - from a one-night stand to friends with benefits, these two take their relationship to every level before finally submitting to their HEA! A great read / listen with an extra epilogue that teases us for book 3! Love this group of friends who find their loves in a group of football teammates and friends!
