Relatable and Actionable Tips to Avoid Burn Out

I’ve worked in corporate America for over 25 years and I’ve reached burn out two separate times. I could have prevented that if I read this book 15 years ago. I can relate to the stories and the advice given is actionable. Everyone should read this book, especially if you are motivated, hard working and trying to move up the corporate ladder. Chapter six on self-care and setting boundaries was my favorite chapter and is something I still struggle with. Great book!

Prevent an emotional burnout

I got this book because I tend to burn the candlestick at both ends. I need a way to control this before I get to the point of burnout. This book has helped me understand why it happens and gives suggestions on how I can make small changes that will help me in the long run to keep a healthy balance. I think this is a great book for any young adult starting any career or business to prevent from getting to burnout! Do yourself a favor and grab this one, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.

Improving your life

While listening to this audiobook, I learned some ideas about burnout. When I am driving, sometimes our minds wander somewhere else, and we ignore the roads. I learned to realize that when we drive the same route over and over, we experience drifting and seeing things and may daydream that we need to try something different. This issue is critical in my way of burning out. We all feel tired, but with this audiobook, I feel empowered to learn more and apply it to many opportunities. We should never force ourselves to do things we don't feel comfortable doing.
