About this listen

How You Can Survive "Healthcare", the Largest and Most Corrupt Industry in America.

Robert Yoho, MD, a top physician, has written this award-winning book to help you see through the lies, handle hospitals, find trustworthy doctors, and master your drugs. Learn how to avoid disgracefully ineffective and overused treatments such as:

  • Angioplasty and coronary artery bypass surgery
  • Low back and endoscopic knee surgeries
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  • Hysterectomies and Caesarean sections
  • Learn how toxic medications destroy health and how to quit them
  • Seventy percent of us take prescription drugs, 20 percent of us more than five
  • A 6th of us take psych drugs, causing brain damage and early death
  • Cholesterol medicines are nearly worthless but are used by one in 10 Opioids: millions take them and 50,000 die of overdoses yearly
  • Most cancer treatments are complete failures
  • Generic medications are often weak or ineffective

Learn how big Pharma sells drugs by faking their studies. Understand the lies they stuff into websites and medical journals. Learn why it all gets ignored (hint: Pharma has the largest criminal settlements in history).

Learn how to conquer healthcare costs. Medical spending per person is double that of other countries and it is the top reason for US personal bankruptcy. I will show you how to escape the over-billing and prosper anyway.

Money short-circuits everyone’s integrity. But if you listen to this book and learn the system, you can find first-rate healthcare at reasonable prices. Pick up your copy of Butchered by "Healthcare" today by clicking the BUY button at the top of this page!

As with most things controlled by the government, our healthcare system relentlessly grows more expensive, while providing ever worse services. This book helps explain why, and offers good suggestions as to how to avoid letting the doctors and hospitals abuse, fleece, and/or kill you in pursuit of the healthcare racket’s perverted incentives.

Great insights and information

Grateful that the author looked at his profession critically and spread the word. While there is good in medicine, there is a lot that is harmful (probably more than half, this MD says), and you need to be an educated and assertive consumer to find the good while not succumbing to the bad.

It was great hearing from an actual MD that it's ok to reduce your trust of doctors and the system, question everything (preferably before it happens), speak up for yourself, and be willing to say no to harmful and unnecessary tests and procedures.

Some of the messages at the end were similar to those in Medical Nemesis by Ivan Illich.

I'm going to re-listen to this audio book.

eye-opening, helps reduce your trust of the system

The details and clarity of information. The author discusses all aspects of the health care industry from insurance billing, Dr conflict of interest, prescription and hospital administration receiving kick-backs for care and procedures.
This book was a lifting of the Vailes of the health care system.

Honest 1st hand account of the health care system.

I've been a nurse in the hospital setting for 20 years. There was not one thing he stated in this book that was false. As a traveling nurse in 4 different states, I saw that the names may change but the same shady practices were the same. Every patient should put this on their required reading list.

on point
