This book is filled with many emotional morsels that pulls you in to be wanting more. The character set and their engagement are fluid and superb. The main character is a great hub that carries the story line to its riveting conclusion. It took me back as a son of the diaspora to appreciate the immigrant experience and both positive and negative influences. I grew up thinking about by the river of Babylon from a dispiriting experience. The author so cleverly repurposes this sentiment and kept me on the thinking edge. This gent with such pen genius will be getting my ears and Caribbean heart from his fine work.
