About this listen
Carol is disappointed and embarrassed when she doesn't receive an invitation to Perfect Penny's birthday party. To cheer Carol up, her parents agree to pay for a clubhouse Carol wants to build in the backyard where she can play and hang out with her closest friends. Like Carol, neighborhood friends Angie, Paul, Samantha and Wendell weren't invited to Perfect Penny's birthday party either.
While planning their clubhouse, Carol and her friends visit Triangle Town, Circle City and Squareville to learn about different building designs and styles.
As construction begins and the two-story clubhouse takes shape, more neighborhood kids show up, wanting to help Carol and her friends build the clubhouse and join their club. After being abandoned by her fickle friends—Pretty Polly and Purple Patty—a contrite Perfect Penny asks to join Carol's club.
