About this listen

Cahaba Sundown is the story of a young man from Ohio who enlists in the Union Army late in 1864 wanting to perform his duty before the Civil War ends. He is captured at Spring Hill, Tennessee then escapes, which begins a sequence of events that will challenge the young soldier in ways he could never imagine. As the war comes to an end, he and other paroled prisoners begin a journey home that connects them to the tragedy of the steamboat Sultana. This is a novel of the motivation and determination of a young soldier to do what is right and his ultimate fight for survival. Genre Fiction Historical Fiction Literary Fiction War Ohio
