About this listen

Mia Saunders's journey continues in the third wicked hot anthology of the Calendar Girl Series! In the next three months, Mia heads to Miami, Texas, and her hometown, Las Vegas.

In July, she serves as the seductress in a music video to platinum selling hip hop artist Anton Santiago. Still dealing with the trauma from June, our girl opens her heart and finds that taking risks in life and love could give her all that she ever needed and more.

In August, Mia heads to Texas to put on her acting hat and pretend to be the long lost sister of oil tycoon and big business man Maxwell Cunningham. The job should have been a snap, only secrets are revealed from her past that change everything she knew to be true.

In September, Mia dashes home to sin city where the world around her seems to implode. The people she loves are fighting battles she isn't prepared for, but desperate to solve before she loses it all.

The last of her escort fun

July had Mia back on her feet and in Miami to dance and act in a music video for Anton Santiago, a.k.a. Latin Lov-ah. This one was fun in that she was instrumental in bringing the attention to Anton’s hugest personal problem. She discovers he’s talented in a lot more areas than music, but his life could take a downward tailspin if he doesn’t get some things figured out. And Mia is just the person to help him do exactly that. Still, she has a lot to work through since she was almost raped, and for her to take action in her own recovery gave the author kudos in my book.

August rates right up there in my top three months as it takes Mia to Texas and pretending to be Maxwell Cunningham’s long lost sister – the one who is supposed to inherit forty-nine percent of a company he’s been running with his father until the man’s untimely death. But there are those in his family who aren’t happy about this intruder and usurper of power. And along the way, secrets are revealed and lives are changed, not only Mia’s but her sister’s. This is also where the story takes the largest turn and brings Wes back into the picture. I liked learning more about Mia’s mother and where she came from, what her life was like before her mother left them. And this month had me looking forward to the next story.

In September, Mia is heading back to Las Vegas to face her ex, the man who played a game that broke her heart and taught her who he really was, the same man who put her father in the hospital. With the happening in Washington D.C., Mia missed a payment to the loan shark, and now she has to face him to try to work something out. She needs to know whether he will work with her or if he is going to ask more from her than she is willing to give. She needs to decide whether there is a limit to what she’ll do to keep her father, her sister, and her best friend safe from this criminal element. Again, we learn so much more about Mia and her family in this month. She has a lot more backbone than she has shown, but she also puts herself out on a limb that might be unnecessary. And Max is ready to step in and step up if need be. He has his own demons and feelings to face.

Great Read

Calendar Girl: Volume Three (Calendar Girl #7-9) was another great read by Audrey Carlan. This set consists of; July, August, and September. July (Calendar Girl #7) was a great read by Audrey Carlan. In this book Mia is sent to Miami, Florida where the nation's top hip-hop artist, Anton Santiago, has hired her. She has been hired to play the part of seductress in his new music video as she is trying to find a way to move on from what happened in June. August (Calendar Girl #8) was a great read by Audrey Carlan. This month, Mia has been hired to be the long-lost sister of oil tycoon Maxwell Cunningham. He is a down to earth cowboy whose father just passed away. In his last Will and Testament, a bomb was dropped that no one saw coming. He left forty-nine percent of his company to a sister that Maxwell never knew he had. The woman's name happens to be Mia Saunders. Maxwell must find her in a year or he loses almost half his empire to greedy board of investors. During this time Mia finds herself falling in love with a family that ca never be hers. September (Calendar Girl #9) was another great read by Audrey Carlan. Mia missed her last payment to Blaine, she owes her last client a hundred grand that she doesn't have, and her father was on his deathbed. On top of all this, Wes was missing in action and no one has heard from him in three weeks.

So-So Couple Of Months

July:
Mia is to be a star in a rap video. Problem is the flashbacks of being assaulted by the creepy Senator in. D.C. last month keep getting in the way.

The rapper, a little disappointed he couldn’t “tap” Mia, but very understanding she needed to get her power back. Between inviting Wes for Mia’s birthday and some therapeutic gardening Mia slowly comes back.

The books are loosing there charm. It was fun getting to know each client and their need. I felt the author lost sight of this in this story.

August:
Mia to play a long lost sister to a oil tycoon!!!! What are the chances the woman has her exact name and birthdate.

Mia is safe and secure in her relationship with Wes and now her next client only wants a sister, no arm candy. This she can do. The more she hangs around Max and his family the more she is wondering if she knows him and from somewhere.

This is a month of revelations for everyone. It should be interesting as to how all characters move forward for the rest of the year.

September: Mia and family runs home to care for their father who is moments from death.

Little did she know that her breach of contract has cost her $100,000, so the mob boss has not been paid.

Mia’s boyfriend Wes is still missing in Eastern Asia and possibly taken by terrorists.

Mia learns to lean on family and friends in this story.

I miss her adventures with her clients. I hope Audrey Carlan returns to this at the end of the series.
