Kent Jameson has done a great job of combining classic and ancient mindfulness techniques (living in the present moment, etc) with modern CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) techniques that hit the nail on the head when one falls out of mindful alignment (which, lets face it, is going to be quite often for the majority of us). There is even exploration into natural remedies and even sound therapy which makes this book a pretty solid overarching view on taking one’s health and wellness into one’s own hands. This would make for a powerful primer to anyone new on the subject of alternative wellness and bypassing the busy, anxious mind.

I got more than I thought in this book. I needed to relax more so I went into this book looking for motivation to relax. What the book told me was more than I thought I needed to know about relaxation. This power packed book had things I never even thought about to help me relax. I tried some of the techniques while listening and slept better than I have in awhile. My Oura ring gave me excellent numbers and I felt amazing.
