Please fix the narration!

I really enjoyed the story, but the narration... whoever was supposed to edit the narration must have forgotten a section, at one point there are so many mis-starts that it's clear it's unedited, you even hear Audrey Lusk swear when she makes a mistake and re-speaks the section. It was painful to listen to. This isn't the narrator's fault unless she edits as well.

The story was interesting I really liked getting to see more of Jayden and learning what makes her tick. I liked Toby, he;s sweet and a bit geeky, I thought he got the blame unfairly at points in the book, and while it made for a more interesting story I didn't find it realistic.

If you're looking for a light hearted romance and you can suspend your disbelief then this story is a good addition to the series.

Toby and Jaden

Toby and Jaden both win a vacation. They are strangers to each other. Toby is a workaholic and Jaden is more free spirit. Together they make it work. Toby was bitten by a snake and Jaden made a salve to help heal him. Until it has had a chance to work, he cannot shift into his bear form. Then they are attacked by an animal and Jaden saves Toby. This was an OK book.

Audrey Lusk did a fair job with the narration. She is not good at narrating the steamy parts. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Shifter Games grand prize leads to romance.......

Capturing the Bear is the third book in the series, but the author does a great job making this a standalone. Jadyn, a free-spirited nature lover, and Toby, an uptight, controlling shipping magnate, win a trip together to a tropical island as the grand prize in the Shifter Games. They have a rough start to the vacation due to Toby being glued to his cell phone for business and getting them lost. This unplanned adventure leads to plenty of action as well as giving them the opportunity to get acquainted. Although this is a short novella, the author packed a lot of story into this book.

Audrey Lusk narrates the entire series, and I liked her performance better in this book than in the first two books. Her delivery is much more natural and her portrayal of emotions more believable.

I received a copy of this audiobook at my request in exchange for this honest review.
