About this listen
In 1987, Tom and Ray Magliozzi, also known as Click and Clack, the Tappet Brothers, made the leap from nursing the motley car population of New England to creating the nationally beloved public radio phenomenon that we all know as Car Talk. The advice may be a little suspect, and the memories in desperate need of a tune-up, but the laughs are genuine as Click and Clack look back on an illustrious - if not industrious - 25 years of delighting NPR audiences with their wit, wisdom, and occasionally relevant musings on the maintenance of cars. Lovingly compiled by the long-suffering lackeys at Car Talk Plaza, this collection represents the most memorable, most hilarious moments from the show's vast archives.

Car Talk, winner of a Peabody Award, is broadcast each week to NPR stations nationwide. The world's wackiest call-in show, it mixes automotive advice with wisecracks, roadside philosophy, and guffaws. No problem is too ridiculous, no solution too absurd, and before you know it, "you've wasted another perfectly good hour listening to Car Talk". Or, in this case, four.

Miss Car Talk!
I used to drive to visit my parents on the weekend and was driving home when Car Talk was on. Not really interested in cars other than getting where I needed I at first thought they were a couple of knuckleheads and I would not listen for long. It was a number of years! I had downloaded a couple of the audiobooks that were on Audible at the time which was long before Audible and Amazon were connected. Good to get some great laughs!
