About this listen

Carlucci's Edge brings to life a chilling scenario in the bleak urban landscape that is twenty-first-century San Francisco and marks the return of Lt. Frank Carlucci, first seen in Destroying Angel.

The San Francisco Police Department is stonewalling seemingly unrelated murder investigations, and Carlucci is determined to find out why. His unauthorized investigation leads him to an insidious black market run by top political officials.

Enjoyable

The writing is good - it reminds me of the terseness of Donald E. Westlake's Parker novels. The world Russo has created holds together nicely all the way to the end. I did not feel cheated or shortchanged. Tabori does a nice job with the reading.

cyberpunk crime classic

excellent reader, excellent world building, all three books are classic pulp conspiracy thrillers in a chrome varnish
