Editorial reviews

"A hidden epidemic" is what expert Peter H. R. Green, M.D., calls Celiac Disease, an auto-immune condition that inappropriately attacks the protein component called "gluten" that people eat in products containing wheat and other grains. The inflammatory condition, explains Dr. Green, begins in the intestines and can adversely affect every system. What’s worse? One percent of the population has it, 97% of those are undiagnosed, and most doctors are completely unaware of the disease’s pathogenesis because medical textbooks are out of date! Thankfully, Dr. Green leavens this heavy subject with a nice Australian accent and some genial humor.

It was very informative, well done, and at times entertaining. It's not the book though, it's a presentation.

Any additional comments?

Really basic introduction to Celiac disease, if you just found out about Celiac and want an better understanding, for the $1, it was worth it. But if you already have an understanding of what Celiac diseas is and that it is greatly under-diagnosed in the west, then there are better listens for you to spend a buck on.
