Kolchak meets Buffy!

When the owner of The World Today offers journalism intern Charlotte Hastings a full-time position upon her graduation from college and allows her to choose her columns’ topic, she’s over the moon. But, when he ties her earnings to the number of new subscribers her articles land, the weight of The World is on her shoulders. Her handsome colleague, photographer Dave Edwards, is certainly a huge perk, though, despite the paper’s no-fraternization policy.

Book I: Secrets of Sea Island: Charlotte’s first assignment takes her and Dave to a luxurious island resort––but it’s rumored to be haunted. When mysterious events begin to happen, endangering guests’ lives, Charlotte and Dave, like their new “friend,” eccentric Internet influencer Luna Moon, begin to wonder what deviltry is at work in “paradise.”

Book II: Monsters of New York: Their second foray into the world of the paranormal takes place in Charlotte’s adopted city, New York, when monsters appear in abandoned tunnels of the subway, the mystery suggesting that an otherworldly power is at work, shaping a dark future destiny for humans and animals alike.

Book III: Carnage at Chesapeake Bay: Assignment three starts as Charlotte and Dave vacation at Virginia Beach. It’s a dream come true––until the torn-apart body of a bloody young woman is found on the bank of the Chesapeake Bay and Charlotte’s search for answers takes her into a predator’s 64,000-square-mile killing zone. Through three states and the nation’s capital, Charlotte and Dave become both the hunters and the hunted, as an inevitable bloodbath draws near.
