Publisher's summary

Tillie Winchester's past is about to come back to haunt her, and what she sees as fun and games someone else sees as a recipe for murder. When a local woman is poisoned at Hemlock Cove's senior center, Aunt Tillie is the prime suspect. Bay, Thistle and Clove don't believe their great-aunt is guilty - although Thistle is fine if the police want to haul her away for a long weekend.

Everyone in town is suspicious, but things spiral out of control when FBI Agent Landon Michaels' boss believes he can't be objective where his girlfriend's family is concerned and sends another agent to lead the investigation.

The new agent is gung-ho, headstrong, and making witchy enemies at every turn. When the investigation turns to the past instead of the present, Aunt Tillie refuses to talk and a long held Hemlock Cove secret risks being exposed. Bodies start piling up as old grudges overlap with new clues and the Winchesters are caught in the crossfire.

Bay is determined to clear her great-aunt's name but even she has her doubts when the victim's ghost points a finger ...directly at Aunt Tillie. It's all hands on deck for an explosive showdown that proves some secrets are best left buried. Bay just hopes she won't end up buried, too.

I always enjoy each new installment

I always enjoy each new installment. Amanda M. Lee has a brilliant mind and always comes up with new ideas for her quirky characters. Hollis McCarthy, as usual, brings it all to life. If you like paranormal mysteries, you enjoy this series.

Worst narrator ever

If I wasn’t hooked on the series I would have returned this book. Thistle sounds like an old drunk, chief Terry sounds like an old woman, bay a 60’s housewife And Clove sounds like a 6 year old.

I would prefer Aris to finish reading the series.

I love this series and this book, but I am not a big fan of the change in narrators at all. I preferred Aris take on the characters and their voices. This new narrator makes the characters sound slow and Thistle sounds like a dude. I flew through the ones read by the previous narrator, but now it is hard to.

I did not like the new narrator

She made Bay sound like a whining teenager, Thistle sounds like a dude and Clove like a small child.

If it wasn't for the fact that I had all ready fallen in love with the Winchesters women, I would have returned this book. And I'm really sad to see that she is the narrator of rest of the books. I will however buy them, even though I sometimes want to throw a tantrum when I hear how she is portraying my favourite witches.

I can't stand the person reading!

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Love the books and I use to love to listen to them but Hollis McCarthy is the worst!

Narrator was changed

I love the continued storyline from the beginning of the series. I think I liked this story but it was distracting to have a new narrator with completely different voices. Terrible idea to change a narrator in the middle of the series. I will not likely listen to the others.

the new person That is Narrati the books

I love these books I don't know what happened to The person who read the other 7 books. The new person narrating the books is nowhere near is good you need to go back to the original person.

Good book, terrible narrator

Why do some of the women sound like men and some of the men sound like women. Love the series, the new narrator is horrible. She makes the characters sound old and slow.

Why?!

Why ruin a perfect pairing that has lasted several books by changing the narrator?!!! I have listened to other series narrated by Hollis McCarthy and enjoyed her, but she does NOT fit this series. I almost stopped listening to this in the first two minutes because of how deplorable the narration is. Please go back to previous narrator. This series is a favorite of mine, but if this continues I definitely will not purchase any more, sadly.

It's A Real Shock At First!

I hate to give bad reviews but I have no choice. We all Live our favorite characters and get used to them especially when we listen so it bothers us when that changes. With that in mind I really didn't like this change. I think she does not do the characters justice. It sounds like yogi bear and the 2 blondes with some aristocrats thrown in. Very Disappointed!
