About this listen
I almost did not post it, but the content is so bad that I rather not waste anyone’s time.
Here are my thoughts:
The plot and virtual voice are like eating store bought mac and cheese with no flavor. Yes, it is still mac and cheese, but it was made without any seasoning, passion, or love. I would have given the narration and the storyline zero, if I could. If I had to pay for the book, I would have gotten a refund.
For the narration, just make the homemade mac and cheese, so we can appreciate the work of art in front of us.
If the metaphor is not clear, hire real narrators. Listening to an audible is an experience and what a way to cheapen the experience with this voice narration. Please note, I am in IT and I love artificial intelligence. It is clear the machine learning aspect is not provided here. You need both for an immersive experience.
As for the actual plot, it is overshadowed by the narration, but it just did not deliver. The book seems like it was written by a person who’s never traveled, experienced life, and definitely is not wealthy. So much substance was lacking, so I tried to find out more about the author to see what motivated them to write this material. I have a theory based on the name, but I would just summarize by saying, no, this book is NOT it. Do not pass go and do not quit your day job until passion, umph, substance, and care are poured into the work.
Overall, do not waste your time unless you like random places and thoughts tossed together like word cloud to deliver a storyline.
Poorly written and poorly delivered. :-(
